REGISTRATION RULES
ARTICLE VI - KENNEL NAME
Section 1:  Kennel names may be permanently registered with the association upon written application and payment of the required fees.
Section 2:  A kennel name, letters, characters and spaced combined, may not exceed fifteen letters.
Section 3:  A kennel name may not duplicate the name of an accepted breed. 
Section 4:  Registered kennel names may not be used unless the registered owner of the kennel name signs the application for registration or consent of such owner is filed in writing with an established association for dog registration.
Section 5:  The use of a breeder's registered kennel name is restricted to a prefix.
Section 6:  A breeder who initially registered dogs without a kennel prefix and subsequently registers a kennel name may subsequently add a kennel prefix by paying the required registration fee to re-register such dogs.
Section 7:   A new owner's registered cattery name may be added as a suffix preceded by "of" when this is possible without violating Sections 9, 10, or 11 of this Article or violating Article V, Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7.
Section 8:  A dog's name may include only one kennel name prefix and one kennel name suffix.
Section 9:  Once added, a kennel name suffix cannot be dropped or changed except upon payment of the required fee and surrender of the former registration certificate to the registrar.
Section 10:  Registered kennel names may be transferred upon surrender of the certificate of kennel name registration with written assignment of the transfer of ownership and payment of the required transfer fee.
